PRESENT Exhibition: The Space Between - New Paintings by Matthew Radford
Matthew Radford has not shown in London for four years. In that time he has been in the studio, working on a new series of paintings and this exhibition is the culmination of that work.
Widely known for his work with crowds, Matthew’s new work retains that as a central theme but now the paintings are overlaid with formal grids and images that refer to pixels, computer graphics and digital images.
Matthew talks about his new work
To make this work he has had to develop new forms of expression and new techniques which constantly challenged and frustrated him.
