James Sparshatt

James initially chose to work in the city as a Management Consultant. However, his life long interest in photography proved too strong and he left London for La Paz in Bolivia, where he spent a number of years as a photo-journalist. On his return to London he studied photography at the London College of Printing, where he specialised in back and white photography. Since then he has had numerous one man shows both in the UK and abroad, most notably a three month exhibition at the National Theatre and shows in New York, Spain and Cuba.

His work has been used in a number of publications and books and taken up by companies for promotional and advertising campaigns. In 2003 he went into partnership to establish the Sparshatt Galleries, a photographic gallery in Covent Garden.
